The liberal news media is still racking their brains trying to understand how Donald Trump won the election against all the odds and especially against the liberal prognosticators all predicting a Hillary Clinton landslide!
What mainstream news journalists really have a hard time with is how so many African Americans either supported Trump or are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and accept the reality that he is our next president.
When CNN network host, Anderson Cooper interviewed NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown, he had an eye opening experience as Brown described a sit down meeting he had with president-elect Trump:
Not too long after he had his sit-down with Donald Trump, Brown told CNN’s Brooke Baldwin that after he spoke with the man, he found a new “admiration” for the president-elect. But he didn’t stop there. Later in an interview with network host Anderson Cooper, the legendary Cleveland Browns running back portrayed Trump as “very receptive” to his anxiety regarding racial issues.
Comparing Obama’s time in office to Trump, Brown said: “For years, the presidency has been like a smooth ride and nothing really dramatic has happened. But with him, every day is full of energy — things are gonna happen. When I met him, it was like meeting a different person.”
Brown continued to give a fair warning to his fellow Democrats, and others who have found themselves rallying and fighting against the President-elect these last few months:
“In my opinion, people that go against the election are going against America. We have free elections: Everybody can vote, we fought for that, we brag about that and we know we’re gonna have a winner and we’re gonna have a loser.
So my point is, if we respect the winner and approach that person, have access to that person, then that person will look at what we’re presenting — that’s not too bad. I could’ve sat back and said, “Well, Hillary didn’t win. I’m just gonna sit on my and complain.” But, see, the one thing about this country: If you get off your butt and you apply yourself, you can be successful, but if you wanna be delivered, you’re talking about the wrong country.”
Somewhere along the way, the media are going to have to abandon their narrative that Trump is a racist and report on real issues instead of the scare tactics they’ve been using. Everything Trump says and does disproves their narrative.
