The integrity of our elections is absolutely vital to our republic. If the election process is corrupted, the legitimacy of those elected goes out the window along with the legitimacy of the government. Hence, voter fraud must be prevented, and when it is not, those perpetrating it must be identified and prosecuted.
Voter fraud can take a number of forms. Perhaps voters manage to cast multiple ballots, possibly in different districts or precincts. Then there would be the case of those who are not eligible to vote managing to cast ballots anyway.
With the focus on illegal immigration and the establishment of so-called “sanctuary cities,” it’s no surprise that this has opened the door for voter fraud as these non-citizens attempt, and sometimes succeed, in gaining access to the ballot box. This is why it’s so encouraging to learn of a successful prosecution for voter fraud resulting in a newly convicted man now facing justice.
Justice has just been served in Kansas. “Victor David Garcia Bebek, a Peruvian national, voted three times, once in a special election in 2012, and twice more in general elections in 2012 and 2014.”
This guy is a pretty dedicated voter – and to think we have trouble getting Americans to the polls. Unfortunately for him, his enthusiasm at the ballot box was illegal. “According to a statement from Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, Bebek will be on unsupervised probation for up to three years and pay a fine of $5,000.”
How were they able to catch him? Bebek’s illegal votes were discovered because he tried to register after actually becoming a U.S. citizen earlier this year. Officials processing that registration discovered he was already on the rolls, and had already voted. OOPS!
I’ll be on @foxandfriends tomorrow to discuss the fact that my office has secured the conviction of a non-citizen who voted in KS elections.

The liberals apparently like voter fraud since they disparage such efforts as we’ve just seen. Could that be because those who commit voter fraud tend to vote for Democrats? “‘No matter how many cases we prosecute the political left will always whine that there’s not enough cases to justify protecting our elections in this way,’ Kobach told the Kansas City Star. ‘That’s absurd.'”
Yes, it is absurd. That we have political leaders who tolerate or even encourage illegal immigration is absurd. At least until you realize that one reason they do so is to generate votes. Then it ceases to be absurd and just becomes criminal.
