I can still recall my first visit to the MEPS station as I was getting my physical to determine if I could join the US Army.
It was to be an all-day affair and they would give us lunch.
I was in awe of all the different types of uniforms that floated by here and there; Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, Army Reserve.
I still remember all the posters and SOPs on shelves that explained all the regulations and the ranking structures, the proper way to salute, and the way to fold and care for an American flag.
As a member of the United States military, one thing you observe above all is respect for fellow service member and your ranking officers and NCOs.
Graduates of West Point Academy are officers who are of exemplary skills and knowledge.
The rich history of the military base goes all the way back to the American Revolution when George Washington was still a general and the United States of America was still a dream.
But like history repeating itself where Benedict Arnold had planned to give the entire fort over to the enemy after being charged with its command, so too do we have another traitor to its heritage.
A cadet who has disgraced both the base and the country…
Independent Journal Review:
“Over the weekend, a picture of a West Point graduate holding his cover with the words ‘Communism Will Win’ written on the inside while dressed in his graduating uniform exploded on social media.
When people questioned whether it was real or if he really meant it, Spenser Rapone — the officer in question — posted a second picture that shows him wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt underneath his West Point uniform.
Rapone describes himself as an Army infantry officer on his Medium profile. Law Newz reported that he had earned the Combat Infantry Badge prior to his graduation.
Many were shocked to see blatant political statements being made while in uniform, which goes against military regulations.
On Tuesday, the military academy officially responded to the controversy.
‘As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform,’ it added.
West Point revealed Rapone’s chain of command is aware of the violations and they are ‘looking into the matter,’ with the school ready to assist them if necessary.”
“Looking into the matter,” in anyone’s lexicon, is not a good thing, especially from the point of view of the military.
For this young Communist to believe that he could possibly serve in the United States military as a commanding officer is an absolute joke.
Only in the mind of Leftist could one think that a democratically-affiliated military be led by a Communist.
Where do their sentiments lie in the case of fighting against a Communist regime like North Korea, Venezuela, or Russia?
It’s ludicrous and this young man should be booted out with a “don’t call us, we’ll call you” message.
