The Department of Veterans Affairs is probably one of the worst managed agencies that exists in the federal government. That mismanagement has resulted in hundreds of unnecessary deaths of American heroes who deserve so much better, all due to corruption and incompetence.
President-Elect Trump has recognized that America owes these men and women a debt of gratitude for their faithful service that should be recompensed in a much greater way than what the Obama regime did: which was to, basically, ignore them.
So Trump is considering the top two candidates for an appointment to head up the VA.
As the Washington Examiner reveals:
Trump on Tuesday met with businessman and Vietnam veteran Luis Quinonez at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla. The incoming Republican leader also met with Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove. Both, according to a report in Bloomberg News, are under consideration to discuss leading the troubled federal agency.
Other candidates being considered for the position are former U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Thad Allen, Fox News commentator and veteran Pete Hegseth, former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown and retiring House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller.
Another possible candidate for the job is a woman, according to Political Insider: Admiral Michelle Howard one of the highest ranking Women in Naval history and currently commands our naval forces in Europe and Africa.
Whoever Trump picks will, most likely, revamp the whole agency and see to it that the veterans get better treatment. Anything is better than what they’ve had!
