If there ever were an American president more unsympathetic to the current state of Israel than Barack Obama, we haven’t seen him yet!
We’ve watched for 8 years as Obama has undermined Israel’s security and built up her enemies by arming and equipping them with some of the latest, most advanced weaponry America has.
Practically handing ISIS advanced weapons that they will surely use against their neighbors and American and NATO troops as well.
The only bright side, we can see for now, is the fact that Obama is a short timer and Donald Trump, a very pro-Israel man, will take over on January 20, 2017.
Red State has more:
Israel remains the United States’ most reliable, faithful ally in the Middle East, but relations between Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu are “chilly,” at best.
With that in mind, it’s no wonder they’re hopeful about the incoming Trump administration.
Senator Ron Johnson is the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. He relayed that message after returning from a weekend trip to Israel, where he met with Netanyahu.
“The primary point that he wanted to make to me is that Israel is America’s best friend in the region, the most important ally, and he wants to strengthen that relationship and so do I,” Johnson said.
The senator visited Israel to meet with their foreign policy, border and cybersecurity experts.
What impressed him most was how Israel strives to work with Palestinian officials, even delivering 800 trucks a day of food and supplies, while most reports in Washington suggest instead that Tel Aviv is persecuting its neighbor.
Historically, the liberals in the media have falsely portrayed Israel as an aggressive bully persecuting their Palestinian neighbors when it is Israel that is surrounded on every side by Muslim nations who want to push her into the sea.
Americans everywhere will be watching Israel closely in the future to see how a Trump administration will affect the tense situation there.
We are hopeful there will be a positive change in the way the world acts towards Israel since it is, after all, the birthplace of the one unique person in the universe whom we will all have to answer to someday!
