The left has made a lot of accusations claiming Donald Trump is a puppet of Russia’s, although the recent U.S. attack on Syria has largely shut that down. But that doesn’t mean Russia hasn’t had influence at high levels in America.
It turns out that the Democrats’ claim that President Trump is improperly influenced by Mr. Putin is just a pack of lies as we suspected. However, now that they brought up the issue of Russian influence over American politicians, maybe the matter deserves some more investigation.
Wouldn’t it be something if the Democrats were the actual puppets of Russia? Or one Democrat in particular – like former-President Obama?
One writer certainly believes so. “In the Monday [New York Post] piece, [Rich] Lowry wrote that ‘circumstantial evidence is mounting that the Kremlin succeeded in infiltrating the U.S. government at the highest levels,’ but that it was done during the Obama administration.”
Imagine that. And how does Mr. Lowry support this allegation? Referring to then-President Obama,“‘He re-set with Russia shortly after its clash with Georgia in 2008,’ Lowry wrote. ‘He concluded the New START agreement with Moscow that reduced our nuclear forces but not theirs.'”
Lowry continues, “The president then went on to forge an agreement with Russia’s ally Iran to allow it to preserve its nuclear program. During the red-line fiasco, he eagerly grasped a lifeline from Russia at the price of accepting its intervention in Syria. He never budged on giving Ukraine ‘’lethal’ weapons to defend itself from Russian attack.”
Now some might claim that this is nothing but typical Obama cowardice – always caving in the presence of a foreign conflict. Yet this is all focused on Russia, and making decisions that were in Russia’s best interest. It’s suspicious to say the least.
Lowry hit one more Obama move that would have delighted Russia: “Finally, Obama cut U.S. defense spending and cracked down on fossil fuels — a policy that Russia welcomes, since its economy is dependent on high oil prices.”
To think that President Trump was in hot water with the Democrats simply because he said he’d like to have a good relationship with Vladimir Putin. Had Mr. Trump done one of those things just mentioned the left would have been foaming at the mouth. Let’s see if we hear anything from them in the light of the fact that that list above all happened on one of their own party member’s watch.
