Our Border Patrol has had a rough go of it these past few years under the former Barack Obama administration. They were forced to submit to an administration that refused to enforce illegal immigration laws, and encouraged the use of their “catch and release” program.
However, with President Trump in charge, we have encountered a new administration that has shown us from Day One that illegal aliens will be held accountable to the laws of our land and be sent back to their home countries.
One such illegal thought he could get away with re-entering the United States. No such luck! Gabriel Liahut-Hernandez, a convicted sexual offender, was recently apprehended at the border by US Border Patrol agents just six days after being deported back to Mexico. Perhaps Mexico will finally wake the hell up and realize that, in the era of President Trump, illegals will be caught and prosecuted!
Gabriel Liahut-Hernandez, 43-years-old of Mexico, was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol after he was deported out of Hidalgo County, Texas earlier this month, according to Valley Central News.
“Record checks revealed the Defendant was formally Deported/Excluded from the United States on April 7, 2017, through Hidalgo, Texas,” the criminal complaint against Liahut-Hernandez states.
Back in October 2015, Liahut-Hernandez was arrested and convicted for sexual battery and was sentenced to more than 900 days in a U.S. prison, before being deported back to his native Mexico by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
Liahut-Hernandez faces federal immigration charges for illegally re-entering the U.S. The criminal illegal immigrant is in ICE custody and is awaiting an immigration hearing.
Valley Central News writes: Liahut apparently returned six days later [after deportation]. He’s now charged with illegal re-entry. Court records don’t list an attorney for Liahut, who remains in federal custody and couldn’t be reached for comment.
Let us hope he has learned his lesson for the second time and will not attempt another re-entry once he is deported again. Perhaps by that time, President Trump will have our wall built, so the likelihood of his return is limited.
This story in itself proves that the United States must absolutely must get control of our borders. Thankfully, we have President Trump, who is determined to make it happen!
