Former President Obama has recharged and is ready to burst on the public political scene as he seeks to make his mark on American society. No doubt he is aware that he is no longer president. And although the mainstream media’s love affair with him remains strong, he’s no longer a major news-maker unless he does or says something shocking or otherwise extraordinary. He is, in effect, in the same boat as Hillary – a political has-been.
He really accomplished very little during his presidency that will endure. He did manage to inflame race-relations, inject the country further into middle-eastern wars, and create a healthcare program that is self-destructing. Waiting until a president’s term in office is over to start working on a legacy seems strange, but Mr. Obama might just give it a shot.
In one sense, we wish him well. During his terms as president, over 1,000 Democratic office holders lost their seats. If he can repeat that accomplishment as he returns to active participation in the nation’s political affairs, he might be able to shrink the Democratic Party to insignificance. Now that would be an accomplishment for which he would no doubt be remembered.
The Gateway Pundit share the highlights of some of Mr. Obama’s accomplishments under the heading of “Worst. President. Ever.”
“Barack Obama executed the weakest economic growth in US history, the worst recovery since World War II, a genocide of Christians and minorities in the Middle East, and a disastrous foreign policy.”
That’s just for starters. Let’s keep going.
“Democrats lost 1,042 state and federal Democratic posts during the Obama years including senators, representatives, governorships and the White House.”
No doubt, Mr. Obama would assure us that he insists that the truth always be told. So here it is.
Under President Obama, Democrats have lost 900+ state legislature seats, 12 governors, 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats. That's some legacy.

So this is the guy who is going to save the Democrats? If so, those remaining Democratic office holders might want to consider what careers they will pursue once they no longer hold office.
While the Democrats have their share of nitwits, they are not all stupid people. In fact, many are very bright, just wrong on the issues. Evidence that intelligence remains within the Democratic Party can be discerned by this excerpt from an article that appeared in The Hill:
“Former President Barack Obama will re-emerge on the national scene this fall, though Democrats expect him to do so with caution.
“One aide describes the beginning of a ‘delicate dance’ that aims to put Obama in the Democratic fray but prevents him from remaining the face of the party.”
It sounds like the DNC isn’t sure what to do with Mr. Obama. So the decision involves a “delicate dance.” A strong former-president would not be subject to such restrictions. So the DNC knows he can be a liability.
Sort of like Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi, just not quite as entertaining.
