Look What We Just Discovered! We Now Know Who Is Behind All The Spying On President Trump!

“I know nothing about this.” So say politicians when they get caught in some nefarious activity.

Their problem then begins when the facts start to surface that not only did they indeed know about “it,” but that they also orchestrated the whole affair. And this behavior is not just limited to Hillary Clinton, although she did turn it into an art form and way of life.

This time it looks like someone else from the Obama administration might have just gotten caught abusing her authority. And it would be none other than former national security advisor Susan Rice.

Bloomberg reporter Eli Lake broke the news on Monday reporting that, “Rice requested the identities of U.S. persons in raw intelligence reports on dozens of occasions that connect to the Donald Trump transition and campaign, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter.”

Rice denies it: “When questioned on PBS NewsHour about Trump transition officials being swept up in incidental intelligence collection last month, Rice responded, ‘I know nothing about this. I was surprised to see reports from Chairman Nunes on that account today.'” If she was surprised, it was likely because she never expected any of this to see the light of day.

And Fox News is on the story as well: “‘The main issue is not only the unmasking of the names,’ said Housley, ‘but the spreading of the names for political purposes that have nothing to do with national security and everything to do with embarrassing and hurting Donald Trump and his team.'”

Here is President Trump’s response in all of this:

So what we have here are allegations that Ms. Rice ordered surveillance activities that “incidentally” included Trump officials, that she requested the names of those officials associated with the data collected, and that this information was distributed to support Democratic political purposes.

Poor Ms. Rice must have missed American History in high school. The lesson she would have learned from former President Nixon and those of Watergate fame is that it’s not just the crime that causes the problem, it’s the coverup that makes matters worse.

On the other hand, perhaps we should not be too harsh on Rice. After all, she had the undisputed queen of corruption, Hillary Clinton, in the Obama administration with her to serve as a role model. Whether she will be able to pull off Hillary’s act remains to be seen.
