Ever since the 2016 presidential election results were in, the Democrats have belligerently maintained that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote hands down. However, conservatives have long suspected that the popular vote was skewed due to voter fraud.
Of course, that is a whole other topic that raises the ire of Democrats and Republicans alike. Democrats have steadfastly refused to even consider an investigation. Hmm, I wonder why? But President Trump is not afraid to bring up the issue, and he made sure Nancy Pelosi heard every word he has to say on the subject.
In their first meeting after Trump’s inauguration, the president told Pelosi that he’d won the popular vote to which she curtly disagreed. That’s when Trump’s response sent her into a spasm. “We’re not going down that path. 3 to 5 million people voted illegally,” Trump said, “And I’m not even counting California.”
Independent Journal Review explained:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi revealed exactly what Trump said to her upon their first meeting in the White House after Trump took his oath of office. Speaking at the Commonwealth Club of California in San Francisco, Pelosi’s home district, the Democratic leader recalled how Trump broke the ice in a bipartisan meeting in his Executive Office with Hill leadership.
The first thing the president said was, “Do you know I won the popular vote?” Pelosi said to the room, who burst into laughter. “Now, first of all, it was irrelevant to our conversation. […] And It wasn’t true,” Pelosi followed up. “I said, ‘Mr. President, there is no evidence to support that. That isn’t true.” According to the Minority Leader, Trump responded, “We’re not going down that path. 3 to 5 million people voted illegally,” Trump said, “And I’m not even counting California.”
The House Minority Leader says in other instances she would be more “respectful,” but the comment proved Trump had no respect for “data, evidence, facts.”
The Trump administration has launched an investigation into potential voter fraud in May. The president has publicly alleged that 3 million to 5 million people illegally voted for Clinton but has not produced any evidence.
In the same interview, Pelosi declared that she finds “it hard” to say, “President Donald Trump.”
You would think with all of the brow beating the Democrats have had in the past couple of years, people like Pelosi would take a step back to reflect on their approach to their constituents, the American people. And perhaps they would also like to focus on the integrity of the elections themselves.
That is the exactly reason why President Trump won. It is because he reached out to every single American and guaranteed that he would make America great again. And he did it with truth, dignity, and integrity.
So enjoy the truth, Pelosi. You deserve it.
