It appears that anyone the Clintons come into interaction with either end up embroiled in a scandal or in jail.
In this particular case, the crony in question did these disgusting acts of his own accord. However, the line my mother always gave me as a young girl was to be sure to never “keep bad company.” The people you surround yourself with have a significant impact on your actions throughout your entire life, so choose wisely.
Well, it appears that Anthony Weiner did not choose his friends wisely, as his marriage to Huma Abedin is in a complete shambles. On top of that, his estranged wife’s very close relationship to the Clintons forced their marriage on the brink, and most publicly, during Hillary’s campaign, due to his horrendous behavior. But, alas, he has his own crimes to pay for. He is going to plead guilty to sexting a minor, which has a punishment up to 10 years.
Disgraced former New York congressman Anthony Weiner will plead guilty to charges that he sent obscene material to a 15-year-old girl, The New York Times has reported.
Weiner, 52, will enter a guilty plea with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan on a single charge of sending explicit material to a minor. The girl alleged that he sent her nude photos, shared pornographic videos with her, discussed his “rape fantasies,” and requested that she undress and masturbate during video calls.
Throughout his political career, Weiner, who is married to close Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, has been embroiled in a number of sexting scandals.
The first, exposed in 2011 by the late Andrew Breitbart and dubbed ‘Weinergate,’ led to his resignation from Congress and the issuing of a public apology.
Then, in 2013, while running as a candidate for mayor of New York, more photos were published of Weiner sexting another woman under the alias ‘Carlos Danger.’ Despite the revelation, Weiner did not pull out the race and eventually finished fifth with just 4.9 percent of the vote.
The only positive that I can see in this entire mess is that Weiner is finally facing the truth of his actions by pleading guilty. One would hope that this would set him in the path of correction. But we will have to wait and see if he finds better company to keep for a better life.
