Well America, we are a simple eight days away from the ending eight year tenure of President Obama. Soon, the nightmare that the United States has had to endure will become a distant memory.
The silver lining in all of this is that between a Republican executive and legislative branch, we are now able to undo the harm that was force upon all hard-working Americans. Every legacy that Obama is currently touting will be snuffed out in a very short amount of time.
The first Obama legacy to go? The Affordable Care Act. No more Obamacare!
From The Political Insider:
With a vote cast at 1:30 in the morning, the US Senate took a first major step toward dismantling Obamacare, offering a resolution that instructs committees of the House and Senate to draft repeal legislation by a target date of January 27…
The final vote tally was 51 to 48, and the House is expected to take up the legislation later in the week.
Republicans only need a simple majority thanks to a budget procedure known as reconciliation – the same tactic employed by Democrats to help kickstart the law into effect without Republican support. Republicans can now begin repealing the law without Democrat support…
As the Reuters report points out, the average Obamacare premium is set to rise 25 percent in 2017, a burden many Americans just can’t bear.
It has to be quite infuriating for President Obama to watch his legacy – his signature legislation – come crashing down just days prior to leaving the White House for good.
What’s infuriating for Obama is good for America.
Here is a video of last night’s (early morning) vote:
How true that is: anything that is good for Obama is bad for America, and anything that is bad for Obama is good for America!
Now becomes the question of: do we just do a full repeal, a partial repeal, or a full repeal and replace? We would very much like to hear your opinion in this. Please comment below what you think your Congressman and Senators should do for the good of America. Then, call your representatives and let them know what you think – they take your words very seriously!
