The one thing that no one American, regardless of political party, can argue about: President Donald Trump supports and appreciate the military. As Commander in Chief, Trump knows that each and every service member sacrifices their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to protect the United States.
So it was fitting that President Trump visited the U.S. Central Command on Monday, and he spent time eating lunch with troops.
But the most special part of this event was Trump’s advice to a young service member who was still on the fence to become career military.
From Independent Journal Review:
Trump kept the conversation light, asking service members what they thought of the Super Bowl and cracking jokes, but many of his supporters were likely thrilled just to see the commander-in-chief sitting down with the troops.
At one point, Trump asked a service member if he planned to “make a career” out of his military service.
“Still deciding right now, sir,” the solider responded.
“Come on, you have to stay. You’ll like it better with me there. You’ll see,” Trump responded.
During his address at U.S. Central Command, he said the following:
“I want every military family to know that our administration is at your service. We stand with you 100 percent,” Trump said. “We will never, ever let you down.”
President Trump went on to say that his “highest duty” is to protect the men and women serving in the military.
You can watch his speech below.
Based upon Trump’s response last week to honor deceased Navy SEAL William Ryan Owens, we can be comforted in knowing that Trump has America’s best interests in mind, and that he will support our military and veterans one hundred percent.
